POP Workers earn $15.45/hour to clean and green NYCs parks, playgrounds, and other facilities.
POP Workers are referred to the program by HRA and are employed by NYC Parks full-time for six months. POP also provides on-the-job training, other training opportunities, and career coaching to find work after the program.
To take part in POP, you must:
- Be an NYC resident
- Receive cash assistance and qualify for referral by HRA
Throughout the six-month program, POP Workers receive orienting, on-the-job training, career coaching, and specialized training opportunities. Once hired, POP Workers will work a 40-hour workweek, which includes career coaching and training services.
