This free program helps adults prepare to take the test to earn their high school equivalency diploma.

The Department of Education (DOE) is offering free online classes to New Yorkers ages 21 and older. Classes help improve reading and math skills to prepare for the high school equivalency (HSE or GED) test.

Who it's for

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a resident of New York City
  • Be 21 years or older
  • Not have a high school diploma or equivalent
