This free program helps students earn their high school equivalency diploma.

The Department of Education (DOE) is offering free online classes to New Yorkers ages 17 and older. Classes help improve reading and math skills to prepare for the high school equivalency exam (also known as the HSE, GED. or TASC test).

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a resident of New York City
  • Be 17 years or older
  • Not have a high school diploma or equivalent
