People with a mental health diagnosis can get trained to work as a Peer Provider.

The Howie the Harp (HTH) Peer Training Program provides a 14-week classroom-based training and 12 week internship. You’ll learn skills to be a peer provider and learn more about self-driven recovery and care.

Who it's for Who it's for

To be eligible, you must:

  • Have a clinical mental health diagnosis
  • Live in the NYC metropolitan area
  • Have at least a high school diploma (or the equivalent)
  • Be able to work in the U.S.
  • Be COVID vaccinated

Duration and Length Duration and Length

The program consists of:

  • 14 week classroom training (approx. 280 hours)
  • 12 week internship (work max. 24 hours per week)
