Assigned to the Payroll and Timekeeping Operations Unit under direct supervision and training performing the following tasks:

Serves as the Agency’s Commuter Benefits and Direct Deposit Coordinator.
Coordinate the enrollment for both optional benefits, retiree waiver process for direct deposit, represent the Payroll in New Employee Orientation.

Member of the CityTime Helpdesk Team.
Part of a team processing CityTime transactions for account activation for new hires and consultants, organization shift, schedule, and supervisory changes.
Process password reset for multiple Payroll systems including Pi, PMS, CityTime and CHRMS.

Perform Pay Analysis for Leave Approval and Reporting.
Calculate 2/3rd Leave Pay for EFMLA eligible absences.
Review and prepare payroll details for Paid Family Leave (PFL).
Coordinate with the Special Services Unit on Worker Compensation (WC) cases reporting to NYC City Council.

Year-End Close Activity Coordinator.
Coordinate under direct supervision with limited latitude for independent judgement W2 distribution, Motor Vehicle Fringe Reporting, and OPA annual recertification of authorized Payroll personnel signatures.

Performs other related duties:
o Review and submit for approval Engineering Assignment Differential.
o Perform Payroll pickup (non-driving tasks) and check refunding.
o Preparing the “Summary of Payroll” form, print the supporting PMS documents and fax to DCAS to release the payroll.
o Administrative support to Timekeeping with timesheet correspondence
o Back up Training Coordinator; wait listing and enrolling staff Payroll Systems (Pi, CHRMS, WCS etc.) in training classes.
o Conducting research, monitoring document storage and retrieval responding to employee inquiries, and working on special projects.

Requirements Requirements

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.

Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
