Break Through Tech connects college women with tech experience, skills, and building a network of industry professionals.

Guild is a free 1 week program that teaches coding for first and second-year college women and other students underrepresented in tech.

Sprinternship Program is paid mini-internship in tech during winter break for first and second year college women at CUNY. It also provides a series of career development workshops.

Career Readiness Program (CaRe) offers free 6-week professional development sessions for college women at CUNY with people working in the tech industry.

Who it's for Who it's for

To be eligible for Guild, you must:

  • Be a women student or other underrepresented student group in tech
  • Be a current CUNY undergraduate, degree-seeking student
  • Be enrolled in at least 1 CUNY course during the fall semester
  • Be a first or second-year student

To be eligible for Sprinternship, you must:

  • Be a women student or other underrepresented student group in tech
  • Be a current CUNY undergraduate, degree-seeking student
  • Be enrolled in at least 1 CUNY course during the fall semester
  • Be first-year, second-year, or junior student
  • Be in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0+
  • Be 18+
  • Be living in the United States
  • Be able to demonstrate commitment to a computer science major (for example, a computer science major, previous or planned classes, Summer Guild, a high school class, or other clubs, bootcamps, or extracurricular activities)

To be eligible for Career Readiness Program (CaRe), you must:

  • Be a women student or other underrepresented student group in tech
  • Be a current CUNY undergraduate, degree-seeking student
  • Be enrolled in at least 1 CUNY course during the Fall semester
  • Be in good academic standing with a GPA of 2.0+
  • Be 18+
  • Be living in the United States
